Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that Amendments to the Legislation on the Presidential Elections based on the Constitutional Court Resolution will prevent Prolongation of the Election Process
"Does pre-termed election of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine make any good for Ukraine, if its present stuff is preserved in 80%?" V. Lytvyn declared giving answers on the questions during the press-conference in Lviv on Thursday.
The Leader of the Parliament called the certain politicians´ statement regarding this matter "exclusively populist." He explained that such a decision needs introduction of the amendments to the budget. "Election to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine would cost more then the present Presidential one", - V. Lytvyn emphasized.
He is convinced that "everything possible should be done in order to make the present stuff of the Parliament work and if it would be failed, before the pre-termed elections appointing, certain amendments should be introduced to the elective legislation", lifting voting according to the party registers. "In such a case the situation would change totally, the Deputies would think how to win the people´s support", - V. Lytvyn explained.
